About our Programs

R Little One's provides year-round, quality childcare, and is licensed by the state of Kansas.

The Program includes:

  • Infant/Toddler program for children ages 6 weeks to 36 months
  • Preschool program for children 3-5 years of age
  • School age care program offering before/after-school care for children 6-12 years of age


Curriculum

  R Little One’s educational services is Developmentally appropriate/play-based. The curriculum is prepared by the teacher and will promote participation in age-appropriate activities, such as unstructured hands-on play, group interaction, and themed activities. Each week the classroom teacher will prepare lessons that will have a weekly theme, with a letter, shape, color and number. 

Program Philosophy

  • R Little One’s Program Goals are to provide a wide variety of age appropriate activities, within a routine that draws from the teacher-based curriculum areas of art, math, science, music, large and fine motor skills, practical life skills social studies and dramatic play. 
  • We encourage social development through cooperative play. 
  • Recognize group needs and individual needs of children, instill a sense of curiosity.
  • Provide ample opportunities to meet the child’s physical needs, while setting the stage for future independence in self-help skills. 
  • Establish respect for equipment and materials.
  • Provide an atmosphere in which children have respect for self and others.
  • Be supportive of parents and encourage involvement and open and honest communication while using discretion.
  • Develop staff potential through proper supervision by making expectations clear, following through to see that expectations are met, and utilizing the abilities and input of the staff.
